Sarah Yun is a Program Officer on the CCF’s Housing and Economic Opportunity team where she works towards creating financial prosperity and housing for LA County’s most systemically disadvantaged people.

Prior to joining CCF, Yun was a Grants Officer at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, where she worked to align strategy with operational excellence. In this role she managed the foundation’s demographic data work, surfacing and mitigating race and gender-related bias across its grantmaking. She also sits on the board of the East Los Angeles Community Corporation (ELACC), an affordable housing and community organizing nonprofit. Previously, she worked as a management consultant to mission-driven leaders, providing guidance with strategy, financial sustainability, and performance measurement. She also previously worked on global human rights campaigns with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and as a Protection Officer for North Korean refugees in Southeast Asia. She channels her passion for promoting human rights in this country as the Co-Founder and Board Member of Lumen, a nonprofit focused on information access in North Korea.

Yun holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a proud Angeleno, born and raised in the City of Angels.
