Eva Longoria Fund

Eva Longoria Fund LogoThe Eva Longoria Fund (ELF) was established at CCF in 2010 by actress, activist and philanthropist Eva Longoria. This fund has been established primarily for, but not limited to, two charitable causes: children and the Latino community.

First, ELF strives to support and foster awareness for children of all ethnic and racial backgrounds suffering from health-related problems. Eva Longoria has been a spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cancer for the past nine years trying to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families.

Also, Eva Longoria founded Eva’s Heroes in San Antonio, TX, in an effort to enrich the lives of teens and young adults who are developmentally challenged. Besides working with those two philanthropies, Eva has also chaired “The Rally for Kids with Cancer” to raise funds for local hospitals and cancer support philanthropies, and she has raised funds for children with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

She is on the board of directors at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the National Museum for the American Latino, and works closely with the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) in an effort to find ways to solve the immigration problem and shed positive light on the American Latino. Eva also works with the United Farm Workers and Dolores Huerta Foundation to educate America on the injustices, such as the Latino child farm-worker, in America today. Eva even raised funds to produce a documentary called “Harvest,” which follows four migrant child farm-workers as they endure a harvest season.

As long as there are people in need, the Eva Longoria Fund will continue to give, to serve and to educate, so that all human beings have a chance at the same quality of life.
