Connecting Local Leaders For Change

CCF connects visionary leaders from the academic, nonprofit, business, and philanthropic sectors with the talent and resources of Los Angeles County. These vital partnerships help to address and support the critical needs of our region.

Partnering to Create a Better LA

CCF regularly partners with government agencies in LA County, receiving funding that supports grants to community organizations. A prime example is our partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Health, in which nearly $18 million was granted for trauma prevention with the goal of preventing violent incidents, increasing access to care and healing-centered services, and creating youth leadership opportunities.

Additional public-private partnerships include LA n Sync, a civic initiative designed to spur innovation and attract funding to address the critical needs of Los Angeles County, and Ready to Rise, a $38+ million public-private partnership between CCF, Liberty Hill Foundation and the Los Angeles County Probation Department designed to improve outcomes for Black and Brown Youth.

To date, LA n Sync has raised more than $330 million in grants and other funding. Ready to Rise has recently received $12.5 million in funding from LA County Probation for youth development and enrichment services focused on diversion and prevention versus ineffective punitive measures.

Ready to Rise funding helps grantees provide a variety of programs focused on educational attainment, leadership, workforce development, mentorship, arts, wellness, youth organizing and other areas.

In partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Health the trauma prevention funding helps grantees build on current strategies to prevent violent incidents, implement crisis response when violent incidents occur, address factors contributing to gun and gang violence, increase access to trauma informed care and healing centered services and supports; and invest in upstream youth programs, youth engagement, and youth leadership opportunities across Los Angeles County.
